Day 3 drew to a close last night and unfortunately my IPad access has dried up. Well I guess a more appropriate thing to say is it became fully drenched. On Thursday evening after taking my friends Lisa and Charles back to the shore I heard a big splash. That splash turned out to be Charles, bags in hand, fulling backwards into the river. I haven't heard an update on the IPad's ability to handle a dip in the river, but needless to say it didn't make the trip out to the raft last night. I am now writing a paper "blog" that my mom will then type in and send out :)
So, we have reached the 150 mark, Things are moving along at a good clip, could go a bit faster but 150 new members in 3 days is not too shabby :)
We had our board meeting yesterday on the water. Capt. Bradshaw with The Patriot was kind enough to give the board members and lift out to the raft. I think they has a good time, but I did notice that none of them waned to sit next to me. It's only been 4 days since my last real shower, I can't stick THAT bad.
I hear the traffic at First Friday yesterday was not exactly heavy, but more then 30 people signed up there alone. The traffic of folks coming out to the raft has picked up. I had the most beautiful 1937 wooden cruiser come by and visit yesterday. I didn't get a picture (sorry) but it really was a work of art! He came up to the raft and joined. (Mom here: you do not have to go by boat to join, heck you do not even have to own a boat to join :)
The rowers have been in full force today. They are such a dedicated bunch. They have come by starting at about 5:30 am. I think I'm gonna make my boys row when they are old enough the discipline is quite amazing.
Well, the rain just started gotta get my mom back to land before it really starts coming down, until later, from the river.
